1. What we collect

We collect only what we need to run Sky Media Library:

  • Account information: email, display name, hashed password, account role.
  • Payment information: mobile money phone number and the transaction ID you submit. We never collect card numbers or bank details.
  • Usage data: movies you've unlocked, stream and download events, IP address, browser user agent.
  • Library data: if you register as a library, we store your library name, contact phone, and payout details.

2. How we use your data

  • To operate your account and process token purchases.
  • To verify mobile money payments manually with our admin team.
  • To deliver secure streaming and download links.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized sharing of content.
  • To calculate library earnings and payouts.
  • To send transactional emails (payment approvals, password resets).

3. What we do NOT do

  • We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
  • We do not share your information with advertisers.
  • We do not use third-party tracking pixels or ad networks.
  • We do not record your viewing history for marketing purposes.

4. Security

All traffic to Sky Media Library is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are stored using industry-standard bcrypt hashing. Media files are stored outside the public web root and served only through signed, time-limited URLs.

Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data as long as your account exists. Payment verification logs are retained for accounting and fraud-prevention purposes. You may request deletion of your account at any time.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Withdraw consent for non-essential communications.

7. Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies:

  • Session cookie: keeps you logged in.
  • Theme cookie: remembers your dark/light preference.
  • CSRF token: protects forms from cross-site attacks.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

8. Children

Sky Media Library is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
